Cookie Policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
This site sets no cookies. None. Not analytics, not advertising, not "essential" ones either. Nothing is stored on your device and nothing follows you after you leave.
Why there is no cookie banner
Consent banners exist because a site is storing something on your device, or letting someone else do it, for a purpose you did not ask for. This site does neither, so there is nothing to ask you about. A banner here would be theatre.
Under the EU ePrivacy rules and similar laws elsewhere, consent is required for storing or accessing information on a user's device unless it is strictly necessary to deliver what they asked for. Nothing is stored at all, so the question does not arise.
What that means in practice
| Thing | Used here? |
|---|---|
| Cookies of any kind | No |
| Google Analytics or any other analytics | No |
| Advertising or retargeting pixels (Meta, Google, TikTok, X) | No |
| Social media embeds or share buttons | No |
| Embedded video, maps, or third-party iframes | No |
| Local storage, session storage, IndexedDB | No |
| Fingerprinting or device identification | No |
| Fonts loaded from another company's servers | No — they are served from this site |
The fonts, specifically
Most sites load their fonts from Google's servers, which means every visitor's IP address is sent to Google without being asked. A German court held in 2022 that doing this without consent breached the GDPR.
The fonts on this site (Archivo and JetBrains Mono) are downloaded and served from estra.live itself, so your browser never contacts Google. Both are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, and their licence files are published with them.
Server logs are not cookies
Like any website, this one runs on a server that records requests — your IP address, your browser type, which page you asked for, and when. That is a log file, not a cookie, and it is kept by the hosting provider for security. It is described in the privacy policy.
If this changes
If a checkout is added later, it will almost certainly involve a payment provider that does set cookies. If that happens, this page will be updated, a proper consent mechanism will be added where one is required, and it will not be done quietly.
